EDP Program for Highway Contractors - February 2010
Attention DBE Firms: The 2010 Enterpreneurial Development Program for Highway Contractors begins Feb. 11, 2010 in Raleigh. Participants completing the entire series of classes will earn a Construction Management Certificate from North Carolina State University. Courses in the series include:
- Highway Plan Reading - February 11-12
- Understanding NCDOT Specifications and Contracts & Marketing to NCDOT and Prime Contractors - February 18
- Estimating and Bidding - February 19
- Project Management: Planning and Schedule - March 4
- Financial Management - March 5
- Business Administraion/Human Resources - March 11
- Bonding and Risk Management - March 12
This training program is designed to equip firms with the knowledge and skill set which will increase it’s potential for success in the highway industry. Highway EDP training is for business owners and supervisors managing highway projects.
